FAQ
Q: Do you also do bike fitting for e-bikes and trekking bikes?
A: Yes, click on the header 'recreational' for more information.
Q: Is it possible to directly buy components if necessary?
A: Yes, handlebars, saddles and stems are always available in all sizes. Cranks will need to bed ordered.
Q: What kind of bike fitting system do you use?
A: De Biomechanieker doesn't use a ready-made bike fitting system like "Retül". All changes are being made based on years of experience and knowledge, with you as a person with all it's particularities as a starting point.
Q: Will the work be the same at both locations?
A: Yes, there is no difference in working method at both locations.
Q: Will my own bike be properly adjusted immediately or will I receive a form with the correct measurements?
A: We place your own bicycle on a roller bench and immediately adjust it optimally. Afterwards you will receive a document containing the dimensions of the bicycle after adjustment.
Q: Can I park easily at the locations?
A: Parking is no problem at both locations. Note: In Rotterdam it is paid parking.

Whereas nowadays everyone wants confirmation via numbers on a computer screen, everyone forgets the most important thing. Your own feeling. I've been coming to De Biomechanieker for about 3 years now and they don't work with hypermodern computer systems, but with important hand tools. That is only possible if you have real professionals at work.
Before, I didn't even notice when you would put my saddle 2cm higher or lower. Always that same feeling. But when I visited De Biomechanieker for the first time, I got the feeling of what it's like to sit really well on a bicycle. The feeling of effortlessly pushing the pedals around. After this I kept coming back regularly to maintain my position. I am now injury free all this time. In the end it may make you cycle faster, but your health is the most important thing!

Boris Romers:
In the youth category 5 we bumped into Amadeo and Aron. Aron had been a member of PRC Delta for a while. He had brought Amadeo with him, who had put him on the bike before. Amadeo is a biomechanic who is very knowledgeable and works with passion to achieve an optimal posture on the bike. A healthy attitude is central to this. Boris started on a bicycle with a crank length of 175mm and a 42cm wide handlebar. After advice and measurements, Boris continued the youth with a crank length of 155 mm and a handlebar of 36 cm wide and a nice posture on his bike in which the torso and legs were optimally positioned. Boris has eventually grown, now rides on 170mm cranks and 40cm wide handlebars and will switch to 172.5mm from winter after advice from Amadeo. In addition to a correct posture on the bike, he also pays a lot of attention to the correct position of the shoes on the bike, so that the power transfer takes place as well as possible and unnecessary injuries are prevented. We look forward to meeting Amadeo and Aron again !
